Investment Whiskey was founded by Michael Steinkamp in 2023. Michael’s passion for premium whiskey has led to barrel picks, podcasts, presentations, and writing.  He has put his years of knowledge, ingenuity, skill, and passion into creating a unique whiskey brand that focuses on single barrel, cask strength whiskey that is never mass produced. The whiskey itself is curated from craft distillers across Kentucky and Missouri. Michael personally travels to every distillery to analyze and handpick the barrels for our whiskey.

After the best barrels are selected, they are placed in finishing barrels to give us the unique, one of a kind whiskey we have today. At Investment Whiskey, we make whiskey we like… not whiskey for profit. Each offering is different from the next, showcasing its own complexity and unique flavors, while telling a passionate story of craftsmanship, tradition and the legacy of whiskey-making. Owner and Founder

Michael Steinkamp has always enjoyed whiskey, but has become more passionate about it in recent years. He attended Moonshine University in Louisville, KY to become an Executive Bourbon Steward before founding Investment Whiskey.
